WHAT
On Saturday, December 10, 2011, we will host our 2nd Annual Holiday & Fundraising Gala (the “Gala”). The Gala will be held at the Rosenthal Pavilion of the Kimmel Center, 60 Washington Square South, New York, New York 10012. The Gala will begin at 6pm (EST) with a cocktail hour. The reception and the awards ceremony will follow promptly at 7pm and will end at 10pm. There will be dancing afterwards until 11:30pn.
The proceeds, after expenses, from the Gala will fund our tax-exempt purposes, including our scholarship program, mentoring program, community outreach and professional development seminars. We will also donate a portion of the proceeds to African Services Committee and will honor several individuals who have gained national and international recognition, are creating a new positive image and appreciation of Africa and Africans, and have given back to the African community. The Gala will include live entertainment, dinner, a silent auction and valuable networking.
